Ghostly Seas

Staff at Rhyl SeaQuarium are busy putting the finishing touches to their creepy costumes, spooky decorations and fun family games ready for their first ever Spooky Spectacular event that starts on Saturday 26th October 2013.

During this all-new Halloween-inspired family event, the centre will be celebrating everything monstrous, devious and deadly that can be found within the treacherous underwater world of SeaQuarium. Visitors can see the displays in a whole new light and discover all that is slimy, gruesome, poisonous and deadly.

Delve even deeper and help Jasper the Jellyfish find his friends by following the pumpkin trail to discover all that is spooky about SeaQuarium, to claim a treat from the gift shop.

Staff will be wearing spooky inspired costumes for the whole occasion and visitors are also encouraged to dress up and celebrate the coming of Halloween with a £2.00 off standard admission price for each person in costume. So put on your favourite costume and join the skeletons, sea witches and wizards!

Also new for Spooky Spectacular event is Captain Greenbeard Seal Show where ship mates Tondy and Solo will be showing off their natural abilities with flipper walks, balancing acts and even walking the plank at Sealion cove. There will be a Spectacular ending at the show where the ghostly Captain and his crew will be choosing the best visitors in fancy dress to win a spectacular treat, or will it be a trick?

If you’re feeling brave enough; your underwater journey will take you through the jaws of a great white shark and through a sunken galleon (home to the infamous Captain Greenbeard), and if you can survive all this, you will meet the real ghosts of the deep – the jellyfish.

Look out for the special presentations, storytelling and spooky touch boxes. There will be lots of family fun with hourly tours and interactive fishy feeds throughout the week event.

If you want to join in with this autumn’s treat, have fun and get into the spirit of Spooky Spectacular, or learn a little more about the amazing creatures of the deep, then why not visit the SeaQuarium with shows and demonstrations throughout the day.

Rhyl SeaQuarium is located on the promenade and opens at 10am daily with last admission at 5pm. Further information is available from SeaQuariums official website www.seaquarium.co.uk or enquiries by telephone on 01745 344660

There is something spooky going on at SeaQuarium Rhyl this Halloween half term (October).
