Step back in time with a ride on this delightful narrow-gauge steam train and enjoy the spectacular sights of Snowdonia. During the 5 mile return trip you will cross rivers and streams and pass historic Dolbadarn Castle, before following the old slate railway route through Padarn Country Park and along the shores of beautiful Lake Padarn. On its return the train stops at Cei Llydan, ideal for a lakeside picnic. Gift shops and cafe; wheelchair spaces on the trains. One of the famous "Great Little Trains of Wales"

Note: PLEASE NOTE - Trains run between 12th February and 4th December but not every day. Generally: 12 Feb to Easter - Tues/Weds & some Suns; Easter to May, and September - Sundays to Fridays; June to August and school hols - Daily; October - Sundays to Thursdays; Nov to 4 Dec - Tues/Weds. For full details of dates and times check our website or call prior to visiting. Also Santa Trains in December.

How do I find Llanberis Lake Railway?
Directions:
7 miles from Caernarfon, 10 miles from Bangor, 15 miles from Betws-y-Coed. Follow the signs for Llanberis from the A55 expressway (Jnc 11) and the A5.
Bus:
85 Bangor - Llanberis (hourly, 2 hourly Sundays)
86 Bangor - Llanberis (2 hourly, no Sunday service)
88 Caernarfon - Llanberis (half hourly, mostly hourly Sundays)
S1 Snowdon Sherpa from Pen y Pass (hourly, half hourly in summer) - with easy connections (S97 route) to Betws y Coed, Beddgelert and Porthmadog. S2 Betws y Coed to Pen y Pass runs in summer months
Train:
Bangor (North Wales Coast Line) 12 miles North. Buses 85 & 86 stop at station.
Porthmadog (Cambrian Coast Line) 22 miles South. Bus S97 stops at station.
Betws y Coed (Conwy Valley Line) 15 miles East. Buses S97/S2 start from station.
Public Transport
Bangor (Rail). Buses stop outside our Llanberis Station (ask for Dol y Goeden Interchange)
