St David Awards use engraved Welsh slate supplied by Inigo Jones

Inigo Jones supplied the engraved Welsh slate bases for the St David Awards.The trophies were designed by Gideon Peterson a sculptor from Pembrokeshire who asked Inigo Jones to supply the Welsh bases to his design. The winners of the awards were announced at a Ceremony in Cardiff on March 13th 2014 and First Minister Carwyn Jones presented the Awards.

Winners from North Wales included Bryn Terfyl, Robin Jones, Jade Jones and the First Minister's special award was won by the Community of Machynlleth. Other winners included Leigh Halfpenny, Warren Gatland, Ceris Mathews and Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson
