Nesting Choughs at Llechwedd Slate Caverns

Staff at Llechwedd Slate Caverns are preparing to welcome back nesting Choughs to their regular spot in ‘Choughs Cavern’, deep in the mountainside. Following the success of the ‘Aren’t Birds Brilliant’ project at Llechwedd in 2007, RSPB Cymru is back on site from April 19th to July 18th 2008. This year the project is set to be even bigger and better with a brand new ‘nest-cam’ and live footage of the nesting Choughs on screen in the visitor centre.
