Snow, Snow and More Snow!
01/05/2008
The weather on Snowdon has been nothing short of extreme in March and April. Contractors at the Summit have been unabe to reach the Visitor Centre for most of the days so far this year due to weather conditions.
In addition to the heavy snow, wind speeds have been exceptionally high on Snowdon preventing the trains from travelling. On Friday 11th April, a gust speed of 113 mph was recorded at Clogwyn with an average speed of 86 mph.
Despite all this bad weather, the Summit contractors are now back at the top of the mountain and are working hard to finish the building. Visit the website for more information.
